I had a website project and had a tight time schedule , I first deployed the website using typo3 but oops I got stuck on the way. Typo3 requires alot of learning and support is quiet scarce.
I run into CMS Made Simple via google and walaaah!! It had the features I required and on trying it out….I was able to deploy my website project within six hours. The documentation and online support is awosome. If CMS Made Simple was a girl, I could have married her…lol.
Props to CMS Made Simple developers.

I am not familiar with CMS Made Simple, but I am with TYPO3. It is true that there is a learning curve with TYPO3, but there is a big learning curve with any CMS with extensive capabilities. TYPO3 has enterprise level capacity. There is also a ton of support available (including my company, http://acqal.com) for TYPO3 all over the world, as well as a robust and mature open source community surrounding it. Check out http://typo3.org
What trouble did you run into with TYPO3? We offer TYPO3 help and are constantly trying to figure out how to make it a bit easier to help clients deploy sites.
Did you catch these TYPO3 documentation links?

It was easy to integrate my templates but when it come to deploy extensions…news, newsletter and events calender, it suddenly became a nightmare.
I downloaded CMSMS and in a couple of hours, i had the site running. The following day, all the modules were running perfectly.
The thing is, Typo3 require one to invest a lot of time learning it and in my opinion most of the documentation in typo3.org doesn’t help most of the time.
